Blocsphere: 2020 Round Up
21st Dec 2020
Whilst 2020 wasn’t the year we all wished and hoped it would be, the past year has actually been an incredible period of development for our company. And while some of you have no doubt been keeping up with progress on our social media platforms, we thought it would be a nice idea to round things up here.
Expanding team
We are always looking to grow our teams with people who share our energy and enthusiasm for creating the best experience for our customers, and this year 4 new members joined our team!
Indie Oliver, our Tenant Compliance Administrator joined us in February. Indie ensures safety in all our managed sites by arranging regular fire door inspections, arranging Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans, and managing our compliance forms so we have up-to-date information of all leaseholders and tenants. Indie has also been working behind the scenes on our new mobile app, where she has found services such as handymen, cleaners, plumbers and discounts our customers can take advantage of.
Business Development Manager Dave Roberts joined the team in August. Dave works with Resident Management Companies, Leaseholders, Freeholders and Developers and will tailor a management package to suit the individuals needs.
September saw the arrival of our Digital Marketing Manager Charlotte Lewis. Charlotte manages our social media platforms, digital campaigns, website updates and blog posts that help drive our online presence and promote our customer-centric ethos.
And finally, our latest addition was Amy Follows, our Executive Assistant. Amy assists with all office administration, organising and scheduling of appointments, meetings and conference calls and managing the back-end administration of our new tenant smartphone app.
With our ever-growing property portfolio, we have several exciting opportunities available. Find your perfect role and apply today.
New appointments
This year has seen an unprecedented growth in our property portfolio. Over the last year we have taken over management of 243 properties under 9 exciting developments.
The developments included:
- All Saints Court (Hereford)
- Redwood (Peterborough)
- Hills Lane Drive (Telford)
- St Andrews (Kent)
- Riverview Court (Hereford)
- Linden Fields (Shrewsbury)
- Clifton Court (Essex)
- Fitzwilliam Place (Lincoln)
- The Hub (Leicester)
We have also been awarded management of another 5 developments which we will take over as Managing Agent early 2021.
Rebrand
Blocsphere’s fresh and dynamic new branding is more suited to where we are now and where we are going. The aim is to give off a different impression, more about professionalism and long-term relationship building. The rebrand includes a new logo, brand colour scheme, social media, digital brochure, and a new website. Our website is now a lot easier for people to use due to the tenant portal and payment pages being more accessible for our customers. We have also introduced a new smartphone app which will be going on a live trial this month at one of our managed sites.
Building Safety Fund
In November, we were delighted that we received pre-tender support funds from the Building Safety Fund for one of our buildings in London. We were pleased to be one of the front runners of securing pre-tender approval and funding and we look forward to removing dangerous cladding on the building and creating safe homes for residents.
There are so many exciting opportunities on the horizon for Blocsphere, as the team goes from strength to strength. Watch out 2021.
