Head Office Team
Having worked in the property litigation sector for many years, Joy grew tired of advising other managing agents on best practice and so founded Blocsphere.
Joy oversees all legal work and predominantly deals with complex litigation and all issues surrounding the cladding scandal including applications to the Building Safety Fund. To date, she has secured over £7m in funds in order to assist leaseholders in the remediation of their buildings.
Joy also looks after the general day to day management of the block management side of the business, together with raising two small children and trying to keep Ashley in order (a full time job in itself!)
It tends to be very quiet when Joy is in the office!
Ashley Davies is our Managing Director and oversees the general running of Blocsphere Property Management and Blocsphere Facilities Management. He has over 12 years’ experience in the block management business, in addition to serving as Decision Maker Panel member at the Bank of England. Ashley also undertakes external governance roles as trustee within the education and charity sectors. The majority of Ashley’s time at Blocsphere is spent providing guidance to each of our departments, as well as overseeing all of our IT systems. Ashley is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (ACIEH) and Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIHM).
Sales & Lettings
Mark is quite possibly one of the most experienced estate agents in the area, during 40 years in the industry he has experience of new homes marketing, residential sales, lettings and development, hotel sales and acquisition and land sales and acquisition. Mark learned his estate agency in the competitive north London market, his efforts were recognised and positions followed as Branch Manager of Flagship offices in, Islington, Solihull, Bridgnorth, Hammersmith and Chiswick. As an Area Manager in Birmingham he opened six offices from cold starts for a building society owned chain of estate agents. In Chiswick his office became the second most profitable office in London, fifth nationally, of a then, 362 branch national chain, more locally, the Bridgnorth office became the office of choice for the town. Lettings experience was gained in the fast-moving West End of London. Success in London was achieved despite commuting from his Shropshire home to be at his desk by 7.00am each morning. Not surprisingly given his London experience, Mark has sold to or on behalf of many celebrity clients including the original lineup of girl group Bananarama, yes, he’s really been around that long! and Robbie Williams, he was also a regular contributor with property comment on BBC News and was involved in a debate with the Governor of the Bank of England and a professor of the L.S.E. on Sky News and has written a weekly property column for the local Chiswick newspaper.
